There are times when life is overwhelming, when all we have is questions. In those moments, hope can feel far away. The great thing about prayer is that it shifts our perspective toward the One who stands ready to listen. No matter what you're facing, we'd love to pray with you!
LifeWay Church is located at 2172 Berlin Tpke, Newington, CT 06111. We are across the turnpike from Bowl-O-Rama.
What time is service?
Our services are Sundays at 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM both in person and online. Kids Church is available during our 11:00 AM service.
Where do I park?
There is parking along the front and side of our building as well as in the neighboring parking lot (Compu-Tech).
Is there something for my kids?
Both our nursery (ages 6 weeks to 4 years) and Kid’s Church (ages 5-12) are open for your kids during the 11 AM Service. Your kids will be greeted by our background checked and trained volunteers and will enjoy age appropriate, Christ-centered lessons and activities.
Why plan a visit?
We know that showing up to a new place for the first time can be intimidating. But, at LifeWay Church, it's our desire that you feel right at home from the moment you pull into the parking lot. As a first time guest, you are a VIP to us, so we'll be there with you every step of the way. We even have an exclusive gift just for you!
We begin each service with vibrant, contemporary Chirstian music lead by our LifeWay Worship Team. After that, you'll hear the latest of what's happening at LifeWay followed by an encouraging, Bible-based message. Our services usually lasts for one hour – you can always expect to start and end on time. After service, feel free to connect with others in our lobby.
How do I join a small group?
At LifeWay Church, our small groups, called Life Groups, run on a semester schedule (February - April, June - August, and October - December). You can view our current catalog and sign up on our groups page.
What precautions are being taken against COVID-19?
Due to the latest announcement by the CDC, the governor has lifted most remaining COVID-19-related restrictions and he has also ended the indoor mask mandate for those who have been fully vaccinated. In an effort to protect our church family and our community, LifeWay has diligently followed all requirements put out by the state of Connecticut throughout the pandemic. Given this announcement by the governor, we are making the following adjustments to our protocols.
1. Remove the mask mandate for public gatherings: We will no longer require masks or social distancing for indoor and outdoor gatherings effective immediately.
2. We will provide space for social distancing for those who are at risk: We recognize there are still groups of people who are vulnerable to the virus and who still require social distancing. Seating on the outer edges of the sanctuary will accommodate this need.
3. We will operate on the honor system when it comes to compliance with the state of Connecticut: The direction from the state applies to those who have been fully vaccinated. At the same time, we will leave the decision up to the individual and family.
4. We are still requiring masks and social distancing at youth and children’s activities: Following the direction of the state, we will still require masks and social distancing for youth and children’s activities for the remainder of the school year.
We are excited to see signs of returning to a more normal way of life. At the same time, we want to remain sensitive to the various needs and concerns pertaining to this virus. If you see someone at a church gathering wearing a mask, please be conscious of the need to maintain some social distancing.
We will continue to adjust along with other announcements that may come out in the future.
Thank you for your patience and for considering the concerns of others.
